Careerbuilder.Com Acquires Jobbguiden.Se And Jobbingmall.Nl |

Online job site CareerBuilder.com
has acquired online recruitment sites Jobbguiden.se in Sweden and
JobbingMall.nl in the Netherlands, adding more than 1 million new job
seekers to CareerBuilder.com's international network. The Jobbguiden.se
and JobbingMall.nl sites will retain their existing brand names, but
will be powered by CareerBuilder.com technology. Financial terms
surrounding the acquisitions have not been released. "The recent
acquisitions in the Netherlands and Sweden made sense because both
companies are strong players in key markets, are philosophically
aligned with our company, and can easily be integrated within the
CareerBuilder platform," said Farhan Yasin, president of
CareerBuilder.com's International Group. "After taking over the
leadership position in the U.S. in just five years, CareerBuilder.com
is bringing that same passion for superior customer service and
technology and results to a global community." CareerBuilder.com began
its international expansion in 2006, building its presence through a
combination of organic development, partnerships and acquisitions.
CareerBuilder.com launched organic sites in Canada and the U.K. In
addition, the company forged partnerships in China with 51Job and in
South Korea with Incruit. In India, CareerBuilder.com launched a site
while maintaining a close partnership with Naukri. With the acquisition
of Jobbguiden.se and JobbingMall.nl, CareerBuilder.com's international
network features more than 3 million job seekers per month.
