Beyond.com, a niche career network for business professionals, has appointed Mark Karsch as vice president of finance. In his new role, Mr. Karsch will be responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of Beyond’s operations including accounting, budgeting, business planning and treasury management, including the proceeds of the recent $13.5 million of Series A financing received from Safeguard Scientifics. Most recently, he served as chief financial officer for Escalon Medical Corporation. “Mark brings with him a wealth of experience including both public and private company work,” said Jim John, chief operating officer. “In addition, he has historically demonstrated his ability to think and act strategically, which aligns nicely with the team of professionals we have here at Beyond.”
